After her husband's disappearance, Marguerite and Alfred embark on a love affair.
From this intimate bond was born a fragrance, created by Alfred for her as much as for himself.
This date became the starting point of Maison D'ORSAY and the founding act of unisex perfumes.
Alfred imagines a pair of shoes that enhances the arch of his feet and whose shape is still iconic today.
Alfred designs his own carriage, "the D'ORSAY coupé".

A true insatiable aesthete and a born creator with a keen sense of beauty, Alfred is appointed director of Beaux-Arts.
He settled with Marguerite at the heart of Parisian artistic and social life.

Marguerite died suddenly on June 4, 1849.
On August 4, 1852, Alfred disappeared in Chambourcy, closing the final chapters of a foundational story.
They now rest side by side.

Launch of Eau du Bouquet, echoing the first perfume created by Alfred for Marguerite.

Maison D'ORSAY was taken over by a group of investors, Van Dyck, Berg & Fink, in association with the couturier Jacques Doucet, giving new life to Alfred's legacy.
In 1916, D'ORSAY was bought by Jeanne-Louise Guérin, in association with Théophile Bader, co-founder of Galeries Lafayette, marking a new stage in its development.

1925: Perfumer Henri Robert creates Dandy and The designers Sue & Mare imagined its bottle.
D'ORSAY's creations shine brightly at the International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts, a symbol of prestige and creative audacity.

Around 1930, the Maison D'ORSAY expanded into a factory in Puteaux, where 500 employees worked in what was formerly the Château des Bouvets.
In 1936, Jacques Guérin took over the management, giving new impetus to the creation and elegance of the House.

Acquisition of D'ORSAY and its archives by Amélie Huynh, co-founder.
Aesthetic, olfactory, and narrative reworking to prepare the brand's contemporary renaissance with perfumes conceived as declarations of love and candles as secret rendezvous.

2019: Opening of the Parisian boutique at 44 rue du bac, Paris 7th arrondissement.
